Merschbrock Kunststoff Spritzguss GmbH generates over 90 % of the electricity it requires. We commissioned our first combined heat and power plant (CHP) back in 2014 and only added another state-of-the-art CHP unit in 2020. The waste heat is used directly to heat the buildings. A connected absorber system converts further waste heat into cold to ensure optimum temperature control of the injection moulds on the machines in plastics production. This ensures minimal energy losses. Thanks to these highly effective measures, we can save up to 550 t of CO2 every year. Good for the environment!

Sprues and defective parts are, wherever possible, directly regrinded and fed back into the injection moulding process. The remaining plastic waste is handed over to certified recyclers. Furthermore, we carry out customer projects with sustainable plastics such as natural fibre plastics or 100% recycled plastics.
