Wherever possible, sprues and faulty parts are ground directly at Merschbrock and fed back into the injection molding process. The remaining plastic waste is passed on to certified recyclers or recycled plastic is purchased there again.
We also carry out customer projects with sustainable plastics such as natural fiber plastics or 100% recycled plastics.

The wide range of our recycled plastics: even a completely colorless end product is possible.
Merschbrock Kunststoff Spritzguss GmbH generates over 90 % of its electricity requirements itself. We commissioned our first PV system in 2022 and our second in 2025. We currently generate up to 1,200 kWp with it.
Thanks to our various options for generating electricity, we achieve an almost neutral energy balance. We commissioned our first combined heat and power (CHP) plant back in 2014 and added another state-of-the-art CHP plant in 2020.
The waste heat from the CHP units is used directly to heat the buildings. A connected absorber system converts further waste heat into cold to ensure optimum temperature control of the injection moulds on the machines in plastics production.
Thanks to our highly effective measures – with DIN ISO 14001 certification for environmental management – we can save up to 1,100 tons of CO2 every year. Good for the environment!
